A few days ago I wrote myย intro to RollerCoin, the virtual mining game where you play ridiculously simple arcade games and end up with real Bitcoin in your wallet. The most common question I got back was always the same: "Cool, but when is the right time to start?"
Easy answer: when there's an event handing out free miners. And as of today, July 28th, one of the best ones of the year just went live.
It's called Beach, Please ๐๏ธ, it runs July 28 to August 2, and it isn't a one-off. It's a series of four linked events, each one giving away a different miner. Collect them all and you unlock a full set worth 10,000,000,000 Gh/s + 600% bonus.
Yes. Ten billion Gh/s. Let's break it down.
๐ง What the new Beach Set actually is
RollerCoin has been leaning hard into miner sets: themed collections where each piece pulls its weight on its own, but owning them together multiplies the payoff. It's the difference between buying four stickers and completing the album.
The Beach Set has four miners:
And here's the part most people scroll straight past: just 2 of the 4 miners already unlocks the first set bonus tier โ a flat +50%. All four gets you the full package: 10 billion Gh/s and +600%.
Translation for anyone new: you don't need to complete everything for this to be worth it. That's the single most important line in this article.
๐ The schedule: four events, four miners
Each miner comes from a different event, and each event uses a different mechanic. Write the dates down, because they overlap and it's painfully easy to miss one:
Notice the detail: Sand Job is the only one live right now, and the only one that ends early. If you're jumping in, jump in here.
โ๏ธ Sand Job: how a Progression Event works
A progression event is basically a express battle pass. The loop:
- Complete repeatable quests (play games, hit a higher difficulty level, spend RLTโฆ).
- Each quest pays out points.
- Points push you up levels, and every level is a prize.
- Each level costs more than the last.
Right now I'm sitting at level 5 with 219/2000 points and 2 days 19 hours on the clock. My current quests pay 300 points (reach a higher difficulty level in a game), 1000 (spend 1 RLT outside the Marketplace) and 100 (spend 1 RLT in the Marketplace).
The reward track runs 35 levels and it's genuinely stacked. Some highlights:
- Level 1: 10,000,000 Gh/s bonus power (14 days)
- Level 21: ๐๏ธ Beach Rack 8 (the themed rack)
- Levels 27โ30: Forbidden rarity case, 1500 RST, and a Forbidden Key
- Level 34: CatFish โ 2,030,000,000 Gh/s | 75%
- Level 35: ๐น Mine-a Colada โ 4,000,000,000 Gh/s | 70%
So yes: the big miner sits on the very last tile. But along the way you're collecting racks, SunChill Consoles, Beachside Billionaires, SunsetForges, RLT, RST and speed-ups. Even if you stall halfway, you don't walk away empty-handed.

The multiplier: where this event is won or lost
This event runs a multiplier of up to x1000. It activates when you spend RLT and it's temporary โ there's a visible countdown showing how long you've got. On top of that, there are active discounts on the exchange right now.
And here's the rookie mistake: activating the multiplier and then walking away to make dinner. The multiplier only boosts points you earn while it's running. Turn it on and don't play, and you just set it on fire.
๐ง My strategy for squeezing Sand Job dry
Here's exactly what I'm doing:
1. Look first, play second. Before touching anything, open the "All Rewards" tab and decide how far up the track you're actually aiming. Targeting level 21 (Beach Rack 8) is a completely different plan from targeting level 35 (Mine-a Colada). A realistic goal is what stops you from overspending.
2. Stack the quests, then flip the multiplier. Line up everything you can finish fast, then turn the multiplier on right before a heavy play session. Cram all your effort into that window.
3. Use the discounts. If you're going to exchange, do it while a discount is live. -30% off the same thing is literally 30% more progress for the same money.
4. Make your RLT do double duty. Several quests just ask you to "spend 1 RLT." If you were going to buy a rack, a part, or something on the Marketplace anyway, do it during the event โ you get the purchase and the points. Spending purely to farm points is the fast lane to regret.
5. Don't fight for something that's cheaper to just buy. Before you torch RLT chasing level 35, check the miner's price on the Marketplace. Sometimes the shortcut costs more than the front door. Run the numbers.
6. Play for the set, not the miner. Saying it again because it matters: 2 of 4 already gives you +50%. For a new player the cheapest realistic combo is usually the progression event + the puzzle event (Beach Bum), because puzzles are the most free-to-play friendly format RollerCoin runs. The Bartender comes via a sale (read: money) and Salt & Vault via lootboxes (read: luck).
๐ฅ Why I bought the Gold Pass
Yep, I pulled the trigger. I picked up the Gold Pass, and here's the reasoning, unvarnished.
The Gold Pass unlocks the premium reward track: instead of one reward per level, you claim two. More miners, more racks, more RST, more RLT. And there's one detail worth knowing because it works in your favour: if you buy the Gold Pass later, you instantly receive all the gold rewards for the levels you already cleared. You lose nothing by waiting.
Strategically, that means the smart play is: start free, see how far you actually get in a couple of days, and buy the pass only if you're clearly going deep. If you're brushing the top of the track at the halfway mark, that's when the pass pays for itself. If you're parked at level 8, don't buy it.
I bought it because I've been playing a while, my daily habit is locked in, and I know I'm going to run the full track. That's the requirement. The pass isn't an investment โ it's a multiplier on consistency you already have. No consistency, and you're multiplying by zero.

๐ค Soโฆ is it worth it?
Being straight with you, because selling hype helps nobody:
If you're brand new โ yes, absolutely. This is probably the best entry point in months. Beach Set miners are far more powerful than anything a fresh farm can realistically afford, and the free portion of the event already hands out bonus power, racks and smaller miners. Signing up today, grinding the free quests and walking out with 1โ2 set pieces is a wildly better start than joining on a random Tuesday.
If you already play daily โ the Gold Pass makes sense. Doubling rewards across a 35-level track you were going to finish anyway is one of the few purchases in this game with a clear return.
If you're thinking about spending big to hit 4/4 โ slow down. Completing the full set means going through a sale and a lootbox event. That's real money plus a dose of luck. Do the cold math: what it costs you versus what you actually mine back. RollerCoin rewards patience, not urgency. People who sprint to complete collections in month one are usually the ones who end up disappointed.
My recommendation for 90% of you reading this: target 2 of 4 miners, bag the 50% set bonus, spend nothing or close to it. That's a big win, and it's completely achievable across these five days.
๐ How to jump in
The series wraps on August 2, and Sand Job โ the one with the strongest miner โ closes July 31. If you want a piece of this set, it's now or never.

None of this is financial advice. RollerCoin is a game: it can be played completely free, and that's how I'd recommend starting. If you do decide to spend, only spend what you're comfortable losing.
