Greetings fellow P0x'ers! Popping onto my radar today was a little startup called SurgeXRP; it actually caught my eye on a PTC ad on the crypto earning platform Cointiply. It's funny where inspiration comes from. At any rate, I did a little digging into this SurgeXRP.

What is SurgeXRP in a Nutshell?
Well, it's a pretty simple concept. High-yield rental properties are put "on-chain," specifically built on the XRP Ledger -- the title and deed of a given property. With as little as $100, anyone can invest in these properties without the legacy barriers that may have prevented one from investing in the past. It's a technology platform for tokenized real-world assets.
What Properties Are Available to Invest in?
Nothing yet. The project is still in its infancy, with a beta launch expected in Q3 this year. Currently, there's a waiting list you can join on their official website if you're an interested investor. There's been no word yet as to specifically what properties will be listed, or even where these properties are located.

How is this Different From Traditional Real Estate Investing?
Typically, barriers for real estate investing include net worth minimums, geographic constraints, and complex ownership structures. What SurgeXRP aims to do is simplify the process and open up real estate investing to everyone. This simplification can be achieved through blockchain technology, making ownership simple and transparent.
What Will This Project Do for the XRP Token?
It's impossible to say. But XRP bulls will point to this project as a "real world utility" for the XRP Ledger which indeed it would be. It would bring more liquidity on-chain, and it could potentially pave the way for more projects to adopt XRP as the "building blocks" for future blockchains. Projects like this are beneficial for price action but may not have an immediate impact. This is, of course, all speculation.
