SOFT PRETZELS
This raw vegan soft pretzels recipe is a super simple recipe. There are only 3 ingredients (4 if you count the water). Need I say that these pretzels also pair perfectly with the raw vegan cheese dip? Don’t forget to make yourself some of that too while these pretzels dehydrate!
Soft Pretzels (raw vegan)
A super easy recipe for soft pretzels with minimal ingredients.
PREP TIME: 20 mins
DEHYDRATING TIME: 4 hrs
TOTAL TIME: 4 hrs 20 mins
EQUIPMENT
- dehydrator or oven
- blender (if you don't have already ground flax seed)
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cup flax seed (ground)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- < 3/4 cup water
- 2 tsp salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- If your flax seed is not already ground, add it to a blender and blend on high until it is ground.
- Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until you get a uniform consistency.
- Roll into desired shapes and place in dehydrator at 115F for several hours.
- Enjoy! Goes well with dipped into raw vegan cheese sauce!
NOTES
- For a more nacho flavored sauce, add some red pepper flakes with the ingredients
These raw vegan soft pretzels snacks really are my favorite recipe to make and to keep on hand as a daily snack. I keep the leftovers in the dehydrator for several days on the lowest setting. If you prefer that soft pretzel texture, eat them quickly because after a couple days, they do turn into harder pretzels (though, I still love snacking on them all the same!).
FLAX IS POWERFUL IN RAW RECIPES FOR HEALTH
I have heard before about how flaxseeds provide many benefits to our health, so I researched them more on different educational sites. I then found an article from Pennington Biomedical Research Center that discusses the different components of flaxseed and how these components support our wellbeing.
In one clinical trial study they mention the following:
“Flaxseed supplementation (particularly ground flaxseed) has shown to be beneficial for prostate cancer in both animal and human studies. The beneficial factor may be the lignans found in flaxseed. “
-Pennington Biomedical Research Center
In another study reviewed, they note:
“Flaxseed supplementation has shown beneficial effects on breast cancer in laboratory animals.”
-Pennington Biomedical Research Center
In addition to all of the intrinsic properties discussed above, flaxseeds are also loaded with nutrients and high in omega-3 fatty acid. These make flaxseed a great brain food too! These extraordinary seeds also lower blood pressure and help regulate cholesterol levels. All the more reason to add them into your raw vegan diet!
RAWEST OF THE RAW SOFT PRETZELS
A quick tip I want to share is about getting that optimal biophoton, ‘living’ energy from these pretzels. To achieve this, I would highly recommend you blend the whole flaxseeds yourself versus buying the pre-made powdered version. This is because the whole seeds themselves will contain more biophotons and nutrients. What else can I say, fresh is best!

“LET US EAT THIS RECIPE IN PEACE, PLEASE!”
Mmmm..
Alright, alright! I will quit my flax “yaks”, so you can enjoy your snack!
Buen Provecho! (The way to say “Bon Appétit!” in Puerto Rico)
If you try these pretzels, feel free to comment on what you think!! Try any modifications? I’d also love to hear about that.
