NBA leading the way with Blockchain App!

The Sacramento Kings have released an app that allows people to bid on game-worn items during home games. The app is called + Golden 1 Center. The app itself is based on the blockchain. The way it works is that fans can bid on jerseys or other items worn and used during a home game. If the fan wins the item then a token is minted on Ethereum blockchain and transferred to the buyer.

It is an ingenious way not just for sport memorabilia but a perfect way to authenticate any item. It can leave a perfect bread crumbs to track how a piece of art has transferred hands to verify it's authenticity.

I have to commend the Sacramento Kings because this isn't the first time they are spear heading something related to Cryptocurrency. In June of 2018 they announced that they were going to start mining Ethereum. Now you have to understand this from an IT standpoint. The arena they play in is 100% Solar Powered which is awesome. But, on top of that they have a full grown bad to the bone Tier 4 Data Center. That is something Google, Facebook or Amazon has onsite. But the Kings have one in their arena, which is used in part to mine Cryptocurrency.

They also started to accept bitcoin on their online store in 2016 Ii believe it was 2016). They are leading the USA Professional Sport Teams in technology and in Crypto
