I want to start with this.. Whatever you think about Electroneum and it's mobile "mining", you have to give credit where credit is due. And Richard Ellis (Electroneum CEO) has been killing it these past few months/years. Electroneum lets you "top-up" your data in 140 countries using a digital currency that is given to you for free. They also release a smartphone that has really good specs for the price point.
What Electroneum is doing now is trying to expand into other utilities and let users top-up those as well. Soon people in Nigeria will be able to keep their lights on (literally) by using ETNs. Electroneum is reaching out to other global utility companies as well to expand this.
I also wanted to make note is that Electroneum was founded in England and there by in 2021 will be governed by the FCI. I am not from the UK so I can speak to much about that but I assume it's the governing body to control business from doing illegal things.

Other things you can do with Electroneum and ETNs
AnyTask: They have a freelance platform. You can offer your services online and get paid in ETN.
TaskSchool: (coming soon) This is an online school type platform that has a gial to educate people and enable them to learn a range of basic digital skills and actually have value.
