Your daily illegal - How you could be breaking the law in your everyday life

By Chrysteria | Random Info | 22 Jan 2020

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to break the law ? Well , it feels like nothing , as long as you don't know you did it. Here is a list of 5 things most of us have probably done and are illegal.

1. Fake alias(online).

Having a fake username online is considered illegal under Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in USA. Everytime you signed up in website as xXxTerminator666 you've actually broken the law and theoretically you could be facing charges that could send you from 5 to even 20 years in prison.

2. Unsecure WiFi.

Surprisingly connecting to unsecure WiFi networks is considere illegal in USA, unsurprisingly . Connecting to any wireless network
you don’t own or have permission to connect, be it password protected or not , could be enough to send you in prison for at least 2 years and/or you may have to also pay the state up to $10,000.What is most interesting in this case is that almost every modern phone and wireless device automatically seeks out and connects to nearby WiFi networks, thus makings it an extremely easy law to break , almost like a trap. It’s extremely unlikely though that  you’ll actually get caught in the act, although there are known cases of people in the US who have been arrested for using other people's WiFi.

3.Sprays and Markers.

In most of the stated of our favourite nations , the US, it is considered for underage people to carry in public permanent markers and aerosol sprays. If you ever carried any of these outside your home , your state probably considers you a criminal!! . Being insane enough , a teacher in Oklahoma reported a 12 old who had been using a permanent marker on a paper and its ink reached the wooden desk underneath , and amazingly got him arrested.

4. You Drunk0 ?

Weird law number 4 you’ve probably broken countless times in your life, almost everyone of you. In UK and certain US states(well duh..), it is actually illegal to be drunk in a bar/pub. The law is justifies this by considering drunk people as having “lost steady self-control”. Although very few people are ever arrested for this, markers such as glazed eyes, unsteadiness and slurred speech are used in courts to determine if one is properly badgered enough to face charges for being drunk in a pub.

5. Wanna bet ?

You’re in the pub with your bros watching the game, and you
decide to make a bet on the game’s outcome, if the bet exceeds $2,000 you've just broke the
law and it's possible for you to do up to 10 years in prison. This actually happened in 2005 when a cop
overheard a guy make a bet of over $2,000 in a bar. The next morning a SWAT team arrived at his doorstep to arrest him and shot him through the heart.
