Hello, I'd like to share my motorcyle trip to the turtle conservation and sunset point in Perancak Beach Bali.

Perancak Village is located by the sea, so you could imagine there are many fishermen live here. There is a river which ends up to the sea just at the edge of this village. And this area become a place where many fishing ships and boats parked around the estuary.

As usual, I got on my motorbike to get to the beach. It's only 20 minutes from where I live. And the beach is called Perancak Beach. I have been to different area of the beach lately (see my previous posts), but I haven't explored all the area.

The one area I haven't been was the turtle conservation center. It was around half past four in the afternoon when I arrived there, which probably was a bit late, since hardly anybody there in the center.

I rode passed the gate that had a signboard of the name of the conservation center. There was no security or anybody at the gate so I just rode my motorcyle into the facility.

When I parked inside this little conservation, there was one person who was sitting on a bench while looking at his smartphone. I asked if it was okay to look around. He looked at me, and nodded.

I walked to small open building which was called "hatchery shelter." There were three pools there. Each pool had a different kind of turtles. The first pool had penyu sisik or Olive Ridley turtle, the second pool had a green turtle and the last one was a pool for many baby turtles. There was another shelter with three pools which had lots of baby turtles.

I spent few minutes in the conservation center taking some photos. After all section of the conservatoin has been covered, we continued to go to the beach. Since this conservation center located by the Perancak beach, I could just simply exited the conservation to the beach by walking.

The beach was different to the beach I visited before which also located 5 minutes from here. There were no rocks or dead coral around the beach like the one I visted before. I saw only fine black sand.

I walked to the beach with my son who was always excited to see water. He played on the water a little bit.

There were some people, mostly ladies, who were picking up sea weed. They soaked themlves in the water. I asked them, what is it for? They replied, just to sell. I was about to ask more, but they were quite busy.

There were some kids who raced their motorbikes on the sand. This area was very popular for its yearly even of moto cross racing.(If there is one next time, I would surely make a post about it) Maybe those kids were inspired by those racing event. Heck, they were not even 16, I think.

As the kids rode away with their roaring motor bike, I looked down to the sky relection on the wet sand. It was quite interesting. The wet sand just like a huge glass placed on the sand reflecting every thing like a clear sharp image.

The only thing is that there was no sun today. The clouds covered the sky. No sun set for today, even though this place is also known as the Perancak Sunset Point. Well, for me, it's a reason to come again to catch the sun set.
