Among the bamboo trees along the farm area.
I went on a bicycling trip with my clients in Bongkasa village a few weeks ago. The local company which operated the cycling was called Bali Extreme cycling. (I like the sound of extreme!). That made me interested.
The cycling guide was called Wayan. (If you read many of my previous posts, you will notice that I mentioned a lot of people whose name was Wayan, yup, there are a lot of people named Wayan in Bali.)
Wayan explained how to operate the bikes to the clients and me. I have been cycling many times, so I was quite familiar with the basics. When we were ready, we went.
Posing at the beginning of the cycling.
I went along the village roads.
At the beginning of the track, we went through village roads. We passed houses, temples, farms, and rice fields. Most of the people whom we met along the journey smiled or said hello to us. The kids were excited to see us.
Sometimes we stopped on the way to take a rest or take photos of the panorama along the village road. We stopped talking to Durian farmers who were loading their durians to a pickup truck. They would bring the durian to the nearest town to sell in the market.
We also stopped in a house and had a conversation with the owner. The owner proudly showed us his pigsty.

I met durian farmers who were loading their durians to their pick up truck to transport to market in town.
We stopped in the house of a local in the village who owns a pig stay. In the pig stay, there were piglet with polka dots skin.
After riding the bicycle for 2 hours, we finally arrived at the finish point. It was a serene area where The Pancoran Tumpang Solas or the eleven fountains in Sangeh village. It was a great point for a finish, I thought.
There was a big pond with a lot of fish located just by the main road. There is a shrine in the middle of the pool. Many people seem to enjoy spending their time in this place. There were even fee local cafes for buying drinks or food.
Next to the pool was a little temple. The temple has eleven fountains for conducting the cleansing ritual. I saw some priests who helped the locals who came to pray. I also saw people in the little pool where the 11 fountains were located.
The finish point of our cycling trip, it was a big pool whose water originated from a spring.
The water pool is quite serene, and it's home to many fish.
Next to the water pool is a temple where there were 11 fountains, a place for cleansing ritual.
There were some people who were performing cleansing rituals under the eleven fountains.
That's my adventure cycling in Bongkasa village. Thanks for your visit.
