The journey of life is not as easy as such.  Our writing story is quite hard and full of corners,  hills,  valleys and bumps. 

In writing I was a novice.  I enjoyed writing though to write 400 characters was a challenge.  Writing needs one to be creative,  imaginative,  ready to learn and a great researcher.  

The other most important aspect when writing is practice. 

When we practice and write frequently is when we acquire great writing skills.  One post or article is not really enough.  You can practice writing long articles.  It is not hard to write an article of 10,000 words if you know how. 

Practice makes perfect. 

My journey though starting earlier, came in the limelight with a sight we called #Bubblews.  This site was in the innovation of a man known by the name Arvind Dixit.  At the same time,  there was and there is still mylot.  Mylot is a discussion site while in Bubblews, one used to earn with views,  likes and comments. Each was worth $0.02 by then.  The writing or articles were just about 100 characters. 

Bubblews taught me plenty including writing engaging posts.  

Bubblews unfortunately went under making many bloggers lose their valuable money. 

Later I enrolled in Steemit.  Here,  one earned in two ways:-

• One earned by curation. Curation is when one votes on a post and earns part of the rewards the post earns after a week. One could just earn curation rewards even without writing anything. 
• Author rewards.  One could earn author rewards by writing posts.  A post earned depending on the votes one received.  A vote carried some value.  The value depended on vests(shares in the company).  The higher the vests,  the greater the value of the vote.  One could also vote using percentage.  The more you voted is when your voting power decreased.  It took time the value to recharge. 

Steemit had two cryptocurrencies they used,  steem dollars and steem

One could exchange them for dollars or other cryptocurrencies. 

it is in steemit that I came face to face with cryptocurrency.
