Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, has apparently seized control of the blockchain publishing platform: Steemit.

Having acquired Steemit a few days ago with plans to, quote, "integrate it into the Tron Blockchain", his recent moved might prove anything but not counterintuitive.

The news of his supreme overlordship was announced in a blog post on the platform. I personally copied the line that sounded the most like a plan for world domination. Here it is:

"For the next 4-6 weeks, the Steemit team will be using the voting rights to resume the order of the community while having an open channel for meeting community members and Witnesses."

However, users of the Steemit blog have reported that the site seems to be unstable. I actually even had to archive that line, because after a while, I couldn't use the copy command on the site anymore.

And while all of this is extremely strange and uncalled for, there are reasons you should care.

In fact, there are reasons the whole crypto world should care.

Here are some of them.

Justin Sun didn't just make an impulsive move by hijacking the Steem network. He has probably thought this whole thing through.

I saw the headlines and read every single post on Publish0x about this. No one seemed to get the full gist. They were all rushing to be the first to publish. That's ok.

I wanted to fully understand what all this meant before shooting a post on it.

Justin Sun possibly wants to integrate the Tron and Steem networks to make for one powerful entity. Displaying this level of digital violence just a while after he tried to convert Warren Buffet to a crypto believer doesn't give him a strong argument anymore. In fact, it takes away the argument from the crypto world entirely.

It isn't possible that fiat gateways are hijacked by their new owners. This is, in the eyes of the purists, all the more reason why no one should use crypto.

Impulsive moves like this only harm all the work done to this point. There's very little help involved, if at all.

That said, we shouldn't fail to see the benefits of this kind of acquisition. Because everything has a good side and a bad side.

I see the good side of this being that the combined powers of the Steem network and the Tron network, under the leadership of an influential person like Justin Sun who has done a very great job with Tron up to this point would really aid the cause of building a stronger network.

That said, the way he went about the acquisition wasn't the best. There were surely other calmer less "  take over the worldly ways" to go about it.

But whole we are looking at the bad parts, we shouldn't dispute the potential good that this pairing brings.
