Have you ever heard the argument: "The motherland gave you everything, you feed in Russia, be grateful"?
How correct is it to say that?
The state does not give anything, but fulfills the duties assigned to it by the people.
Roads, schools, and medicine are not a gift from above, but the result of taxes and the work of the same people. The state simply distributes the resource created by society.
"Feeding here" sounds very strange.
People feed on their labor, knowledge, and business. Salaries and jobs are created not by the state, but by the economy, where the main source of value is the citizens themselves and their work.
Being born in a country does not make a person a debtor.
Being grateful is a personal feeling, not an obligation. If the state does not work effectively, a citizen has the right to criticize and demand changes.
Why are some people so fond of this argument?
It's so convenient to manipulate and suppress questions and discontent: "shut up, you have to." It's not about facts, it's about trying to make you feel guilty.
The argument "The Motherland gave you everything" is emotional, but essentially wrong. A person lives off their own labor, and the basic services of the state are paid for by the same citizens through taxes. Love for the country does not negate the right to demand normal living conditions.
It would be very strange if someone started thanking an ATM for giving out money and "feeding" the depositor for his own money.
