The highest point of the county at the top of S. António de Vale dos Poldros, with 1,114 meters of altitude, in the parish of Riba de Mouro.

Monção has several examples of constructive mastery, thanks to the waterways that cross the county. Just walk around the city to see bridges with several centuries, such as the Moorish Bridge or the Medieval Pinheiros Bridge.

Also the already old cobbled paths are still present all over the city. These paths served as a gateway for pilgrims coming from Arcos de Valdevez to Santiago de Compostela. The chapels scattered throughout the city, also dedicated to Santiago de Compostela, were the scene of countless prayers of pilgrims.
