In this center there is a very interesting exhibition for those who like airplanes, as is my case.
Constância is in the center of the country, being the closest city to Tomar.

This exhibition is called "Physics of Flight - Jet Plane T33" The main exhibition element is a Lockeed T33 jet plane that was provided by the Portuguese Air Force. The exhibition also integrates the exploration of how airplanes work the elements responsible for the movements of the airplane, the forces involved in the flight impulse, air resistance, lift and weight.

There is a possibility that visitors can experience the sensation of rotating in a human gyroscope, equipment designed by NASA to train pilots and astronauts in a situation of uncontrolled spaceship. I can say that the experience is spectacular, however I asked to stop halfway because I started to get quite sick.

I also had the possibility to enter the cockpit of the plane. The plane is quite old but I wanted it to start working and I went for a walk. A dream of mine since I was a kid, which is to fly a plane one day.

"The Lockheed T-33 is a North American single-jet aircraft. It was produced by Lockheed and made its first flight in 1948.
Portugal acquired 35 aircraft, the first 15 of which entered service in 1953.
They were slaughtered in 1990.
They were in service in several units of the Portuguese Air Force, since 1958 they were used as instruction vehicles in the neighboring Tancos Air Base."

The engine of this plane is quite interesting and it can be seen that it is really quite big up close.
This exhibition is really worth visiting.
