Loriga, in Serra da Estrela, has a unique setting that makes it one of the most beautiful places in Portugal.
Loriga Beach
It is the only Portuguese beach located in a valley where there was a glacier. The waters run in the middle of the valley towards Ribeira de Loriga and are completely clear and crystalline.
For some, the water temperature may not be very pleasant. We are in a mountain range, new water is always coming from the spring and therefore its temperature never gets very hot.
These hills that surround it, offer us amazing landscapes, at the same time taking you by the mirage of the steep hills, cut in peaks, or in the capricious undulation of valleys and hills, where the crystalline water springs and slides, as if singing in a rumbling melancholy for everywhere, and their streams, with open arms, these waters receive to offer to the rivers and they take them to the sea.
Loriga is one of the most beautiful mountain lands, where, among the most diverse natural and artistic predicates, there is certainly also the rest and peace we need.
