First of all, I'm offended that the Silent Generation isn't even included in this. I'm also offended that I can't choose Generation Y instead of Millennial.

My wife and I had a discussion (instead of sex, of course) about having another child. It's really awesome to see a miniature version of yourself sometimes, but you also really have to weigh the consequences of putting an additional human on Earth. It's funny but not funny that the people who stop to think about it are really not the biggest problems. Not to say we aren't all part of the problem, but I do also believe in spectrum theory. Seriously, though, even if one person only generates a pound (~0.454 kg) of waste every week, that's like a whole plastic supermarket bag, which is at least half a turtle (or three baby turtles), so every month you indirectly kill at least one turtle and one bird, not to mention all of the animals that you may or may not consume. And, fine, you may not consider that exceedingly bad, but you also probably go through more than a pound of garbage in a week. We have considered adopting a baby that is already born. Just waiting on my crypto gianz (and a job).

Speaking of jobs, for the record, US unemployment benefits are not quite as generous as you may have expected after hearing about that 1.9T stimulus package. I was 'expected' to be offered a whomping $0 per month, in addition to at least a total of a couple wasted hours being not even processed by the system since March of 2020. To be fair, I am white and privileged, so maybe that's how it's supposed to work. I've had some real shitty bosses, though. Hopefully the next one won't be so shitty.
