First off, I am a HUGE fan of Publish0x. I make it my primary publishing platform because I want to push cryptocurrency adoption into the mainstream!. And there's other reasons too! As a small time writer it is able to offer me a smaller pool to play around in where I can receive a greater amount of views than I would on larger platforms. It also allows me to go direct to readers who are specifically interested in the content I produce.
And I'm certain these are major reasons for the majority of people to publish here! Some people out there likely believe that to best support this platform we should neglect others. After all, if we make our content exclusive to Publish0x then people will HAVE to come here for it!

I am fully aware that Publish0x publishes their own statistics, Medium does as well. But I felt it better to use a third party to gather information as they are impartial. Feel free to take a look and you'll quickly see the vast disparity. Currently Publish0x sees approximately 750k-1 million visits a month while Medium sees 150-200 million. Medium sees up to 200x the traffic on a monthly basis. If Publish0x even manages to snag a small portion of that userbase it would do wonders for the earnings of you and ALL the other writers here.
Spend a little more time on SimilarWeb and you'll quickly discover that over at Medium the topics people are most interested in are "Computers and Technology", as well as "Programming and Developer Software." Sounds to me like these are EXACTLY the people we need to be speaking to! But the problem is if we all spend our time and talents in the echo chamber of Publish0x we will miss out! And in turn Publish0x will suffer. Echo chambers have become a major problem in today's media. If we raise the tide together all the Publish0x ships will prosper on the high seas!
I also strongly encourage writers to broaden their horizens. It's important that we try to make Publish0x a place for articles of all kinds. I ask for readers to seek out and tip articles that don't focus on cryptocurrency just as I encourage authors to create them! I myself am guilty of falling into the trap here of writing what works and is successful within this echo chamber. I am going to try to change this over time and I hope all of you do too.
