We have had several meetings in recent weeks by Zoom to consult with our users, the majority of the crypto world, in order to determine all the reasons why they choose cryptocurrencies today as a main economy.

We have heard stories of all kinds and we continue to study the subject from a global perspective but without going any further, about our continent.

Most of the interviewees were Latin American, and among all the testimonies we found a common problem that does not surprise us at all: politics.

In Latin America, before and after the pandemic, the population is affected by an economic breakdown that had a sudden impact on people's daily lives. Politicians adopted measures and systems of government that undermined social equality, the financial dignity of its entire population. Here in the United States, our currency does not suffer so many falls because in theory 90% of the countries operate with our value in all aspects. But without going any further, 5 usd of ours is equivalent to two days of food in the homes of these families, and in one of the most drastic cases we have heard, the testimony of an interviewee from Venezuela details that 5 usd is equivalent to almost 1 month of food. Latin America is a global sector with one of the largest numbers of users in the crypto community. Most have used this opportunity to be able to assert their money in a currency valued in dollars, since it is an odyssey to get dollars legally without the governments filling them with absurd taxes and also for the little value of their local currencies. This is something to seriously rethink. We have had the collaboration of a writer friend who has lost her job in the last year, but she has voluntarily helped us to study these psychosocial and socioeconomic factors to continue trying to find a way that we can help in some way.
