Ripple - organisation that is currently using the world's third-largest crypto-currency XRP in its products, has big plans ahead in 2020 this year!!!
Ripple says its XRP-based cross-border payments system will be released around the world by 2020. The real-time gross settlement company says in its new XRP Markets Report it will add more corridors throughout the year for its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) in the following areas:
- Europe
- Asia-Pacific
- Middle East
- Latin America
- Africa
According to Ripple, ODL is helping banks and other businesses make the flexibility to free up resources when making payments. Actually, financial institutions need to hold pre-financed bank accounts to trigger more quick payments. Using the XRP tokens Ripple provides instant liquidity to settle cross-border payments in less than 3 seconds.
The solution to XRP liquidity was launched in late 2018. ODL volume rose by 550 % during 2019, with the number of transactions increasing by almost 300 % in the last quarter.
The expansion is possible thanks to the wide network of partners that includes companies such as goLance, MoneyGram, and FlashFX.
