Some day, you are at the right place at the right time, and with an active share in a Cointiply Chat Rain Pool.
Today I was lucky enough to be part of not one but two of the biggest Chat Rain Pools ever saw on Cointiply. Maybe the biggest? I had never seen anything like this, not even during the Huge Chat Rain Pools we see during Cointiply Special events. During these events, these huge pools frequently reach 200k coins. But today, it was a super massive 670,000 coins pool!!
This 676,016 coins pool was distributed over 877 qualified users, and I was part of it with a rather respectable 1.87%. I pocketed my biggest gain ever from a Chat Rain Pool - 12,642 coins. My real luck here was that I had decided earlier that day to do a longer than usual morning survey session, leading to that share of 1.87%, almost twice the size of any share I get on a random week day. With a pool like that, that little 0.9% difference meant about 6,000 coins.
But what just happened? How did we get to such a monstrous pool outside if any special event? I was able to watch the chat a little bit a this unfolded and found out that the user Unnatural, a Cointiply admin as it seems, donated 3 bombs of 250k, 250k and 150k coins to the pool! I asked him why and he replied "just because it's fun!". Thank you, I respectfully accept the gift.
I mentioned 2 pools earlier, didn't I? Yes indeed, lightning struck twice. Since I was monitoring the chat more than usual in the general excitement, I caught Unnatural mentioning that he would donate about the same amount of coins in the following pool as some users were feeling sad to miss such a massive jackpot. Knowing this, I made sure I joined the next pool as soon as it became available.
This time around the pool ended up with a bit more than 500k coins. My share for this pool was slightly under 1% in the end, for 4,392 coins.
Well, just wow... Over a million coins were poured into the Chat Rain Pool in less than 30 minutes. Luckily I grabbed more than a fair share of the jackpot. Most of all, I'm glad I was able to catch live this unique moment on Cointinply, that was way more exciting than just seeing 17k coins from the Chat Rain Pool appearing in my Activity logs. That will be a great story for my grandkids...
