Hi everyone and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, after my holiday pause it took me some time to get back in to my usual blogging schedule, and I actually forgot to make a post, that never happened before 😅 and posting late didn't get upvotes so better start early!

7 days ago the new season started, and with it, the launch of the new Rebellion Soulbound Reward Cards, at the same time the printing of the Chaos Legion Soulbound Reward set came to an end and it now is possible to unbind the soulbound so we can sell or transfer the earned cards.
As most players not playing at the top, I don't have anywhere near a complete set and maxing everything out is way to expensive for me but I'm trying to get the key cards up to the level they are stronger, for example, the epic Will-O-Wisp from the Death splinter gets the Silence ability at level 4, it's a good improvement, and I only earned 9 BCX myself...

Level 4 requires 20 BCX so I needed to look to buy some on the market, but then I saw @bulldog1205 posting this message on X

This was a very cool initiative where he basically just donated his over supply of cards without making any profit on it and helping other players complete their set and burning more DEC so we can get it back to peg.

So, after contacting him on Discord and sending the 11k DEC required to unbind I received my missing copies 😍

But I wasn't done and had some funds left, so I start writing down the cards I needed which is basically a game in itself, managing and building your deck, choices choices since I can only spend my money once, I had one more must have... Usut!
I earned a level 2, but at level 3 he gets the Self Heal ability, very strong in magic only rulesets so I burned some more DEC to get it to level 3.

It's like putting a child in a candy store, I want more!! 😁
My Musa Saline was at 10 BCX - 1 short to MAX level, and my alt account own a GF version for itself, so the regular foil could be unbound and sent to my main account 🔥

My first MAX level legendary reward card for the Chaos Legion set, and probably also the only one! This one will be very strong in Little League for sure!

My DEC supply was rapidly shrinking and I've already depleted my blogging earnings to buy more SPS at these low prices so I could only make one more small purchase before I need to wait until next month...

Dumacke Orc was the last one, I earned a level 8 but at level 9 he gets Thorns - a great sneak counter especially with his retaliate and shield abilities combined. I want to use it to counter Katrelba teams so I needed 30 BCX more to get it at level 9, at 10 he gets an extra melee attack but it's another 100 BCX more... that's the most annoying part of this game LOL we can't have it all!

So, I'm out of funds again but I'm getting close to burning 30K DEC, and I'm just a small player, the total amount of DEC burned is already over 70 MILLION, reducing the total liquid supply.

It's not hard to see when the burning started 🤣

So, if you're in need of some missing cards, don't wait too long because the unbinding cost will only increase until it's no longer possible to unbind, and check bulldog1205's account to see if he has what you need so you can get it cheaper than on the market - just DON'T use it to later sell them for your own profit please! 🙂

Sharing a battle

What is a Splinterlands post without a battle right!? So here I'm sharing a battle with my new level 9 Dumacke Orc in Wild League, making it impossible for the enemy to win right at the start of the battle 😁

Like I said, It's a Wild League battle I just did with only 14 mana and the combined Ferocity / Lost Magic / Reversed Speed rulesets which is perfect for my new Orc. With magic out of the picture I wanted to nerf one of the other attack types so I went for Quix which is a bit of a trade off because my -1 speed is speeding up the entire enemy team because of the reversed speed ruleset...

First look at the battlefield:

Oh nice, an Alric - pretty useless though in a lost magic battle 😁 but look! all the cards damage is 1... LOL, and my Orc has the shield ability so they won't be able to do any damage to him except for the thorns the turtle brings 😁

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Quix - reason: -1 ranged damage.
• First position: Dumacke Orc - reason: Perfect guy for this ruleset combination.
• Second position: Torrent Fiend - reason: Just a 0 mana filler.
• Third position: Halfling Alchemist - reason: To halve the tanks damage output.
• Fourth position: Igor Darkspear - reason: Low mana nice ranged attacker.
• Fifth position: Furious Chicken - reason: 0 mana sneak protection.

The Battle:

Round 1: Well, the thorns are not enough to kill my Orc, so the battle is already decided 😋 the first kill is in my team but it will definitely won't be the last kill...

Round 2: The turtle's attack got a retaliate and killed him, resistance is futile, we are the borg.. uhm.. orc!

Round 3: Another retaliate!

Round 4: Ok, this is all the damage the other team will do, it's over guys!

So much glint! I rented 50k SPS this week on top of my owned 57K, boosting my earning a little to test if it's worth it.
