Hi everyone, and welcome back to my weekly blog where I will write a ton about mostly Splinterlands related content, for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets post, we need to write about the Fog of War ruleset, in which all monsters lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities, however - scattershot still works in this ruleset.
To find out how you can participate in this challenge yourself, check out the Splinterlands post yourself, you can find it here.

Not very long ago, there has been made a change to the Fog of War ruleset. Before, only the Sneak and Snipe abilities where lost, making every Fog of War battle basically just a battle to put a lot of opportunity monsters in your team, so now they've changed it and made it how it should be, and now your backline is relatively safe except for scattershot, and I don't know a lot of players that like to use scattershot, it's just having good luck or not whether your team hits the right monsters first, I prefer a better strategy than depending on luck.

The battle I want to share today is a 41 mana Fog of War battle without additional rulesets, Water and Earth splinters are locked out, eliminating most of the strong magic teams in the current meta, because of this, I chose to bring Quix with Chwala and a support team behind it.

My Line-Up:
- Summoner: Quix the Devious - reason: Access to dragon splinter, I expected archery so I wanted to nerf that.
- First position: Djinn Chwala - reason: Thorns, to counter melee teams, good overall tank.
- Second position: Corsair Bosun - reason: Great damage, reflection shield to counter a possible enemy Chwala.
- Third position: Adelaide Brightwing - reason: Magic damage, great support card with repair and resurrect.
- Fourth position: Time Mage - reason: To slow the enemy so my dodge change becomes higher, cheap card with good magic damage.
- Fifth position: Light Elemental - reason: Cheap, good magic damage.
- Sixth position: Venari Crystalsmith - reason: To heal Chwala.
The Battle:
In round 1 the enemy tank died real fast, it is a great card but very weak to magic damage and has too few health points to get healed effectively.

My support cards did an excellent job keeping Chwala alive, none of my team died, the enemy Gargoya Devil and Djinn Renova were killed very fast.

This was a very short battle that not even lasted the full 3 rounds and my whole team was still standing 💪.

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
Wow! that's already the end!
We're only a few hours away until the end of this season, it's always cool to open that many chests at once. I can open 117 Silver chests today for my 2 accounts, maybe I can score 1 or 2 more, I still have some battle energy left.
My main account has a high Silver level deck, so I could compete in Gold, but I feel like my winrate is a lot higher in Silver, and my earnings are not bad. Getting my ass kicked by gold decks with much higher cards is no fun 😆.
What about you guys? how much chests can you open later today?

Thank you for reading!!!
