Good morning everyone, I hope you're all doing okay, now winter is setting in, at least for my region, it's a good place to stay inside as it's freezing outside. And as Splinterlands players we have A LOT of work to do, prepare for Rebellion, Managing our land plots now land has finally gone live, getting enough DEC for that while also keeping some funds to buy those juicy Rebellion cards, grinding the ranked battles (and damn that's hard on the last day of the season!) and making blogs like this one to get some more funds to do all the thing mentioned above 🙂.

Since I've got only 1 land plot I was done in about half an hour, finding out how it worked and choosing what cards to put on the land as workers, I already watched @magicthgathering's video so that made things easier, thanks for that!
Land plots are as cheap as $26 now for a common plot, but that's not the only thing you need, to be able to get a decent production going, I need about $40 worth of cards and $20-25 of DEC to stake on the plot, so all in all about $100 for just a common plot, and we gotta make choices what to do with our funds because we just can't have it all! And while it's exciting there are so many options, it's difficult to choose, SPS being relatively cheap now, land is new and 1 plot isn't enough, Rebellion is coming and I do want to stay competitive.... choices, choices!!

The Battle Mage Challenge for this week is about the 'Up to Eleven' ruleset, in which all monsters gets the Amplify ability.

All units have the Amplify ability.
Use Thorns, Return Fire, and Magic Reflect to ensure your opponent suffers.

The battle I want to share for this post is a 31 mana Modern League, Melee Mayhem / Up to Eleven ruleset, with only the Fire splinter locked out, with these two rulesets combined, it was pretty obvious for me I would need thorns at the front! And because it was so obvious I would need something to counter a enemy Chwala (of course it could also be a Cursed Windeku) so I need shatter to break his armor.

First look at the battlefield:

Not what I expected! A summoner that brings Amplify by itself isn't necessary, no thorns, 1 annoying spell reflect and I have two low HP magic monsters so hopefully I get trough that before they kill themselves, Jared Scar can be dangerous but since I have a good tank I think I'm okay!

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Quix the Devious - reason: Access to the Dragons, I needed Chwala.
• First position: Djinn Chwala - reason: Thorns! and it's a overall formidable tank.
• Second position: Demented Shark - reason: Inspire.
• Third position: Torrent Fiend - reason: a filler, but one that's going to do 3 damage with two inspires!
• Fourth position: River Hellondale - reason: Inspire, Resurrect, ok magic damage.
• Fifth position: Musa Saline - reason: Shatter!
• Sixth position: Tide Biter - reason: Fast, low mana, ok damage.

The Battle:

Round 1: Wow that's a good start of the battle, for me at least! the first two positions got killed very fast, and my magic casters survived the spell reflect so that's nice! the battle is already decided because I'm doing a lot more damage and I've got more HP on the battlefield.

Round 2: And the enemy team is out of action! A good plan doesn't always get you a win in Splinterlands but this time it did!
