Good day everyone! I finished my Battle Mage Secrets post earlier today, and I've got some time left before I need to prepare dinner for my family, so I might as well do two posts on one day!
Welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, today I want to make a post about a very good summoner that I don't see a lot in my ranked battles in Bronze and Silver, is it being played more in the upper leagues maybe? I don't know...

I'm talking about the Legendary Death summoner from the Chaos Legion set, Astral Entity: it's a nice counter to Kelya Frenduls armor, it gives every monster the Dodge ability which makes the enemy attacks 25% less accurate, and it can resurrect the first monster that dies on the team, making it a nice play for a martyr card to be resurrected and gives it's boost twice!

It has to compete with Thadius Brood, the Rare summoner we all know from the same set, a lot more affordable and in my opinion more versatile because it nerfs magic and health and costs only 4 mana, but in some cases Astral Entity is a lot better, for example when magic isn't allowed to be played, or with the Target Practice ruleset so you can use the martyr / resurrect play (of course we can do that with other splinters too with some cards)

Under rated, because I don't think I met 1 player that used it against me this season while it's pretty powerful in some situations, I will share a battle with you guys later in this post!
Under valued because it's the second cheapest legendary Chaos Legion summoner right now.

I really don't get this list, because the three on the left I use the most! 😆 I don't own Possibilus, so no experience there, and for now I've got other cards on my wish list first, like a higher level Lorna Shine for low mana battles but still, I use Quix a LOT, Grandmaster Rathe and Astral Entity are both really strong too but like with everyone, not in every situation and it's up to the battlemages (read: that's us!) to decide when to play which summoner.

The battle I want to share today is a 46 mana Target Practice battle, in which all ranged and magic monsters gets the Snipe ability, only the Water, Life and Death splinters are open to be chosen. With Earth locked out, I thought the chance of facing a heavy magic team wasn't that great, so I went for Astral Entity.

First look at the battlefield:

Well I was right in gambling there wouldn't be a lot of magic, in fact, there's none! I pretty heavy team though, but that's to expect with a 46 mana battle this late in the season and this high in the ranking, between 1800-1900. While that wasn't high before the bot ban, a lot has changed and the rating inflation is gone for sure!

My Line-Up:

• Summoner: Astral Entity - reason: It's not much played so people are not prepared to face it, I like the Martyr / Resurrect play to boost Usut and get it's bloodlust rolling.
• First position: Harklaw - reason: Shield, ok damage, good HP.
• Second position: Venari Marksrat - reason: Martyr
• Third position: Usut - reason: Bloodlust!
• Fourth position: Sand Worm - reason: High damage sneaker
• Fifth position: Spirit Hoarder - reason: Triage, to heal Usut when he takes sniper damage.
• Sixth position: Dhampir Stalker - reason: High ranged damage, True Strike.

The Battle:

Round 1: A lot of dodges already! Resulting in so deaths on my side so far, not even the Venari Marksrat, that's... well... supposed to die lol, they kept missing him and Spirit Hoarder just healed him back up. My attacker went trough the taunting Shield Bearer so the Target Practice can start.

Round 2: Venari Marksrat died, and got resurrected, the enemy Supply Runner died too, so one less speed for them, making my chance to dodge even bigger.

Round 3: So uhm... guys? My martyr card isn't supposed to survive the battle you know 😂 two more cards are down on the other side while my full team is still there.

Round 4: Another one bites the dust.... 🎵
Only a matter of time now...

In round 5, Dhampir Stalker finished the job, another flawless victory for me, and some juicy SPS rewards!
