Xbox Buys Activision for 70 billion dollars, Investors in the crypto sector occasionally avoid Game integrated NFTs or NFTs in general viewing them as a lesser investment. If Microsofts recent acquisition tells me anything, its that gaming is one of the smartest investments a company can make.
Thanks to game item NFTs we can even scale that type of investment down to something an average person can afford. While a game item is no where near as valuable as an entire company, NFT game Items can be versatile assets.

Alien Ships
Now I write about this play to earn WAX blockchain game often for good reason. Alien Ships almost constantly introduce new Game play types, Game Mechanics, & NFT assets.
For instance in the last week they have introduced 2 New NFTs into game directly connected to their new Game play type PILOTS LEAGUE.
The Upgrade Station added 2 days ago upgrades your SX Contender for pilots league.
Top 5 Players in the Pilots league win one of the Space Gem NFTs which produce WAXP daily.
Utilizing your SX contender you pilot through waves of enemy crafts taking out as many waves as possible to achieve the highest score amongst players for that day.
Top 5 players get the coveted space gem NFT which produces WAX daily.
You can even sell one for just under $100, Needless to say its a prize worth winning. I like this for 2 reasons 1 its something that while easier to get by paying for extra ship mods it can be won through skill alone. Another reason I like the piolets league it gives you an accurate measure of the games popularity.
Latest top contenders its difficult for me to score above 300 without bonus multipliers so someone scoring 60,000 that's crazy to me.
The game type I'm most fixated on lately is their Planet NFT missions, the reason being they amount to me clicking a button twice daily.
You need 40000 Credits & a Ship NFT with autopilot & warp drive upgrades to run a interplanetary mission.
You can However find these which amount to 1 WAX
Simply burn one of these & you get 1 WAX easy as that no selling or messing with anything.
Rather unlikely & its never happened to me yet but you can win any of the asteroid NFTs in the Planet NFT missions.
Any number of different NFTs can be earned on planet NFT missions.
However they cost credits I burn certain NFTs they list on the Alien Ships Site to receive large amounts of credits quickly.
Not all NFTs in this colection actually generate something by being burned check their site to be certain.
Some NFTs grant credits for burning, some NFTs grant units, some NFTs even give you WAX when burned, but not every Alien Ships NFT has a burn use case.
Combat missions may be played for free generating in game credits.
Credits serve a number of purposes in game you may even get Ship NFTs with credits.
You use Credits to run transport missions which grant the player Materials when successful.
They even give out free NFTs on their discord to fans of the game that own one of these.
They have plenty of passive income options as well for the more invested players.
These however have prices to reflect their utility.
I have been with this game since launch as such I own one of their all but forgotten NFTs with a passive NFT generation mechanism a Rover. Rovers generate a Ship NFT a month

Talent or Tech
The two main focuses I have when assessing a Play to earn game or NFT colection. When I find a play to earn with either a talented team behind it or superior tech such as a game engine or Blockchain resources.
I invest in it even if its a minimal expenditure even a few NFTs enough to test a game & so on can give you further insight.
Enough time observing a colection a few months I can see how they handle problems rollouts updates patches & so forth.
This information leads me to my last & most important observation have they shown me they have what it takes to continue growth.
Alien Ships, Splinterlands, Beast Gardens, Rising Star, Hash Kings, & Alien Worlds all have talent driving their projects at least originally that was their primary driving force.
Splinterlands & Alien Worlds also now Have tech Backing their talent a 1 2 punch.
The inverse of that is Tech driving the Colection from the offset Farming Tales, Green Rabbit, Dragon valley, & Kogs are tech driven play to earns that recruit talent as they grow which is fine.
When a Colection possess both it tends to have staying power given there are around 70+ Games just on WAX with more added weekly.
The reason many play to earns flock to WAX is its a green blockchain & easily accessed by the masses.
If I didn't mention a title its due to the fact that I have to draw a line somewhere it would take all day to list all the play to earn games that I play regularly.
Splinterlands
What can I say about Splinterlands That I haven't before, at this point I'm starting to get a little repetitive so ill mix it up today.
Lets take a look at a brawl match I recently had
My team is the one on the bottom I'm facing a lama mage which usually is game over right.
With the earthquake rule set all non flying units take damage each round. My team has by round 6 taken out 2 of the opponents team & I haven't lost 1 unit.
The opponents summoner grants their last unit the last stand ability boosting stats. It is tough to beat but my Gladiator has blood lust also boosting stats.

The healing ability Scales to my attack damage when blood lust boosts the attack it also boosts my healing ability.

Quora Towershead is lethal this monster is one of the toughest I own, Now that they have dropped a chaos legion card with blood lust you need to understand how powerful that ability can be.
Grum Flameblade Is a formidable card already add to that blood lust & look out.
Another new card to watch out for is Uriel The purifier
It heals when leveled up & I'm uncertain if that's every turn for 3-4 health or every other turn for 9-12 health. Everyone seems to be Unaware of how good the Recharge ability can be
Even at level 1 this card is a nightmare to face

A surprisingly in depth game with planet exploration, combat, planet / party / ship modification, & ownership of planets markets mines ships + so much more.

Expansion
This game is a space mining sim & it has taken me a while to wrap my head around.
Thus far I have mastered Renting my NFTs in the Mining tab

With all my cheap tools I can mass claim a little of each of the 6 different Expansion cryptocurrencies.
