Though we are all in the midst of down market inception, Times like this it pays not to panic.
For todays write up I have several play to earn games with major updates to go over. Down markets can Have an upside which is what ill try & focus on in context of play to earn games.
What a year for WAX
The road so far with WAX blockchain was tedious & slow paced, the last year truly WAX hit its stride.
Mostly due to this explosion of popularity in the NFT market WAX had 10x the daily users it did in 2020. Since WAX is the blockchain that has the least impact on the environment in effect being carbon neutral.
The WAX blockchain is simply the best for NFTs & play to earn games, given I believe that 2022 will be the year of play to earn WAX is a blockchain to keep focused on.
Now that is not to say WAX doesn't have NFT portals on multiple blockchains but a portal & a bridge are a little different. A portal usually uses a Wrapped version of the asset a place holder of sorts that exists separately from the blockchain its originally from.
Splinterlands Upland are some examples of NFT portals on WAX where as the bridge described above only exists currently on WAX for DeFi options from ETH. Due to the WAXG governance token being based off ETH the WAX blockchain has had an ETH crypto bridge for a while. Blockchain Brawlers will be the first example of a NFT cross chain Bridge on WAX.

While the market feels like Dip Inception if you look back a single year WAX is performing 10x better then it was in 2021.
HIVE
HIVE is yet another break out success of 2021 just look at where HIVE was 1 year ago.
Again 10x the proceeding year though currently down relative to recent prices relative to January of 2021 HIVE is doing very well.
HIVE has to be my favorite wild card of the blockchains a DPOS based system with freedom of its users leading to unexpected innovations. Its this creative freedom that makes HIVE special since I see play to earn NFTs being the driving force of the 2022 NFT market. HIVE & WAX both having Splinterlands NFTs means HIVE + WAX will be instrumental to that market.
Alien Ships
Alien Ships a WAX play to earn has recently gone through rapid expansions to their NFT colection & game play.
Their last update introduced their Piolets league NFTs, getting one when they dropped proved to be a good idea.

Rift Watchers Packs (Splinterlands)
Want to know how a down market favors the brave? If the investor can see the potential of what's to come not in the short term, but the long term & you can commit to that investment a down market can be a blessing.
The Screen shot above is from the recent post by the official Splinterlands HIVE account. Detailing the roll out of Rift watchers packs some time in 2022 what I find interesting is we purchase them with SPS.

Selling on WAX
When you sell NFTs on WAX blockchain NFT markets for the most part you provide the System resources. System resources such as CPU, RAM, & NET. You obtain either by staking WAX for CPU / NET or purchase RAM.
One market that actually lets you post sales without using your CPU but their CPU is Nefty Blocks.

RFOX / KOGs
KOGs A WAX NFT colection is currently being connected with their BSC play to earn game. Part of the connection between the 2 is apparently their BSC alt RFOX getting a wrapped version on WAX.
So given I have been with this project nearly a year I know RFOX will be utilized for buying packs in the KOGs Slam game.
These are some of the new KOGs known as Slams1 Colection on WAX these are brand new & for sure part of the play to earn rewards handed out for completing challenges in game.

Another new WAX play to earn in the same vein as Splinterlands, Beast Garden, or Dragon vale. Monster fight like those other titles I mentioned is a WAX play to earn where you battle monster NFTs.
As you can probably guess the market for these types of play to earn games is starting to become saturated.
Monster fight differs by having an egg system that if done well could be something special so far you simply buy & hatch eggs.
If this is what kind of game play we are to expect they may turn out to be something unique. Taking it almost the same rout as a WAX Blockchain AXI style game which slightly differs from the Card style games.

During a market dip I find its best to focus on play to earn games that are in effect free to play. Now Splinterlands costs $10 for new players which is more then fair, but ill focus on titles here that for $0 you can just start playing to earn crypto & NFTs.
Start off where I first did a year ago Rising Star one of the most profitable free titles I have encountered. Based on the HIVE blockchain your rewards start off low but as you level up & find your way through the game Rising Star becomes very profitable.

A WAX blockchain game which is free to play / earn on, Alien Worlds is actually quite impressive for a free title especially. Alien worlds allows new users to pick a planet & begin mining on a selected land plot.
Each planet & land plot has its own Governance system. Allowing Stakers to vote on planetary Governance & land plot owners to set their own player rewards for their land plot.
By staking to the planet you mine on you will also gradually increase the TLM payout.
Depending upon which NFTs you equip you will also increase your NFT drop rate & TLM payout (tool NFTs only). Recently they added a new mission system & NFT upgrading option for more involved players. However for new players the TLM earned is worth more due to the new use cases.

Another OG play to earn game that is free but has never been more profitable is Roller coin.

A new title on this list of free Blockchain games Blockchain RPG is yet another free WAX game. Built with a game engine I expect this game hasn't shown us half of what it will have to offer.
Still in its infancy they are still working the DeFi & crafting system out but in a few months you will be glad to have stocked up on their crypto GOLD.

Hard to turn something free to a deficit, the worse thing that can happen you waste some time, but all of these games I play fairly regularly. I can honestly say you spend enough time on any of them you will turn a a decent profit the trick is you have to stick with it.
