The TRON (TRX) project has revealed that the network’s DApps are now available on the Samsung Galaxy Store, six months after Samsung announced that it had added support for TRON on the Samsung Blockchain Keystore.
TRON’s DApps on Samsung will be available in the United States, Canada, South Korea, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore and certain countries in Europe. Support for these applications will depend on device, market and carrier. The DApps in question include Blockchain Cuties, Super Player, Meerkat Mining and Timeloop.
Justin Sun, founder of TRON, spoke of this development as being an opportunity for developers to build on the TRON platform and reach out to Samsung users,
We really enjoyed working with Samsung on the blockchain level integration. Now with Samsung Galaxy Store, we are taking our collaboration to the next level by integrating both ecosystems together. This is an incredible opportunity for developers to migrate and build on the TRON platform and put their applications in front of Samsung users.
TRON is competing with Ethereum (ETH) and EOS (EOS), and is attempting to become a hub for DApps. In addition to games and gambling DApps, the TRON network has moved into Collateralized Debt Positions (CDPs), having launched the Djed platform.
TRON has been in the news for controversial reasons lately, most notably because of its acquisition of STEEM network. The acquisition was met with stiff resistance from Steemit community, which decided to hard fork from the STEEM network - which resulted in the launch of the HIVE token, which has just been listed on Binance.
