Uniswap clone SushiSwap has more than doubled its TVL value as Uniswap bleeds liquidity due to the closure of its liquidity rewards program on Nov. 17.
- The TVL of Uniswap has dropped by half from $3.04 billion to $1.52 billion on Nov. 17, following the end of its UNI liquidity rewards programs
- Rival platform Sushiswap has seen a surge of 63.18% in liquidity to $585 million in TVL, as users move their funds to the rival platform
- Audius co-founder Cooper Turley has put up a new proposal that asks for the old mining programs to continue with half the reward rate of UNI tokens
- The proposal suggests halving the UNI distribution to 1.25 million UNI each per month to the four pools, making the total distribution 10 million over the next 2 months
- The proposal’s “snapshot poll” will end on Nov. 20, followed by a more intensive “consensus check” poll that doubles the quorum value
- The proposal currently has 53.37% of votes in favor of the change, with 46.19% voting against
- The Uniswap community held a community call to discuss the UNI farming programs, among other topics, but no decision to extend the farming programs was made
