Decentralized oracle platform Razor Network has raised $3.7 million in a seed funding round, according to an announcement made on Nov. 4.
- Investors include NGC Ventures, Alameda Research, Spark Digital Capital and private investors including Mariano Conti, former head of oracles at MakerDAO
- The market’s most popular oracle provider is Chainlink (LINK), but the Razor team has said it is attempting to distinguish itself with a dispute-resolution mechanism for protection against attacks, citing Chainlink's exploit that occurred in late August 2020
- Razor Network’s team members include Hrishikesh Huilgolkar, who previously worked at ConsenSys
- The oracle network is expected to launch sometime in 2021
