Decentralized on-chain protocol Uniswap announced the completion of its Series A funding round on August 6, raising $11 million. Uniswap had already raised $1 million in seed funding from Paradigm and others.

• Funding led by Andreessen Horowitz; additional investors include USV, Paradigm, Version One, Variant, Parafi Capital, SV Angel and A.Capital
• Funding will be used to build and release Uniswap V3
• Uniswap launched V2 only as recently as May 2020, which brought features such as flash swaps and ERC20/ERC20 token pairs
• Funding comes as Uniswap grows in popularity, having the most DeFi users according to ConsenSys
