Barstool founder Dave Portnoy, who was persuaded by the Winklevoss twins to invest in cryptocurrencies, has changed his stance on the asset class after making a considerable loss. Portnoy posted a video on Twitter on August 21, where he talked about his losses and his lack of trust in the market.
- Tweeting that he had lost $25,000, Portnoy said of his recent $200,000 investment, “This Bitcoin — I don't trust this market at all.”
- It has been roughly 10 days since Portnoy invested in cryptocurrencies
- Portnoy had also invested $45,000 in Chainlink (LINK) - but near the asset’s all time highs
- Portnoy called for viewers to pump and dump bandwidth-focused token OXT on a live stream on August 19
- However, despite stating his lack of trust, Portnoy posted another tweet on August 23 asking how low he ought to let $LINK sink “before getting back in”
