even though I thought I'd never get back to gaming, I did.
I bought New world on release, but eventually stopped playing due to issues from the developers.
I don't want to start articles with a roleplaying character on higher level, so Sioone was born as new character.

So we'd have the look, and then what? When do I get to choose what class I play for?
In this game it's a bit different, it all depends on the weapon there are 13 to choose from and from level 5 onwards you can use two. So there is no choice of which class to play as when creating a character.

I was immediately dressed in tattered rags and the knight at the beginning provided me with a sword.
In fact, he was dying so I took it.

And it's with absolute zeroes to begin with :-). The more a weapon is used the more experience it gains and the more its abilities improve.

Profese. 

Here is the first hint of item production, in the later parts of the game each profession has its own corner.

Five levels further on I look quite smart :-) I changed my torn clothes for a decent suit.

A few initial quests and hooray it's off to the city, I still don't really know what weapons I'm going to use so I try what I can according to what fits.

I'm throwing the heaviest calibers in the game, two-handed axe and mallet, they look amazing. But will I continue with them? I'm tempted by the spellcasting, which here is a fire staff and an ice glove, well we'll see.

Finally after a few quests I was offered a choice of faction, there are three in total Covenant, Marauders and Syndicate.
After a lot of consideration and considering that I have Covenant on my tank and Marauders on my healer I choose Syndicate :-)

Each faction has its own quests, ranks and associated equipment. Everything is at zero but that will change over time.


Finally we have level 10 and with it a summary of today's gameplay. I'm sticking with heavy weapons for now, I've gained some skills on the spear axe and bow and I'm trying to level up the professions honestly, because it's tiring to catch up afterwards.
