TRON AML/CML Forum
Last week TRON participated in the AML/CML forum which was hosted by DCGG, which was held in Asunción, Paraguay, on March 11–12, 2026.
The two-day forum
Had 60-participants which consisted of Central Banks, financial ministries and Government officials and delegations from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
What were the goals of the forum?
The focused discussions were centered around developing proportionate regulatory frameworks for digital assets across Latin America (LATAM). There were also panel discussions which included high level Tether officials who discussed regulatory licensing and other matters with the participants.
Why is this event important?
First, it shows that LATAM is taking stablecoins serious. Secondarily, it demonstrated the stablecoins are working together to get regulatory frameworks in place by the two stablecoin heavyweights (TRON & Tether)
Summary
TRON and Tether working together defining frameworks for LATAM is a massive development. Stablecoins are maturing at a much faster rate than all of the crypto realm, in my opinion.
