I happen to be among the group of people who normally write very short posts.  The reason may not be because of lacking what to write about or having enough material to write,  no,  it is just that much is put in to put up a post. Many will agree with me, one needs more than two hours to produce a one minute read.  

• Research.  Normally one needs to do enough research to ensure he produces a fact filled post.  Nobody likes reading a faulty post.  Research will make you visit area,  browse the internet and ask about a specific topic.  It is a tedious and time consuming exercise. 
• Creativity.  Writing a post also entails one to be very creative.  Creativity is what brings out the epitome of a good post.  Creativity is the one that makes readers be interested in your post and read to the end. 
• Accuracy.  Accuracy is needed in production of a post.  Accuracy may involve real facts.  It entails correct spellings,  good structural sentences and proper arrangement of paragraphs. 

These and many others do consume time and by the time a post is produced, though a one minute read,  many have gone into it.

Why A Lengthy Post? 

This is a one million dollar question.  Should one blubber around just to produce a lengthy post? 

The answer is simple,  do not just blubber around to produce a lengthy post.  Your post should have these characteristics.

• Informative.  The Post produced should be able to inform the targeted audience of things they do not know.  It may entail farming in your locality,  a strange happening and many others.  Many will read the post for the information they will get from it. 

• Educative.  The Post written must educate  the target audience.  The why's, how's,  and what's must be addressed.  You can teach people how to write a lengthy post.  You can educate them on what made people in your locality embrace cryptocurrency.  There are many things people can learn from your educative posts. 

• Entertaining.  A post despite educating and informing should also be entertained.  Well written posts will carry many if these characteristics in them.  While in steemit,  there was this man called @surpassinggoogle who used to write lengthy informative,  educative but yet very entertaining posts.  Try to grip your readers to enjoy your writings.

Life is too hard to be so gloomy and business centered. 

• Factual.  Posts should have facts in them that can be verified.  Linking posts with others through hyperlinks is very important.  Links will show posts with similar information.  Links will connect a post with others with same information.  Always produce factual posts. 

• Imagery.  Posts should carry with them images that help to spin the yarn.  All images must be optimized.  Ensure to label them properly citing their source.  Images also brings color to your post.  Color assists in reading.  There are many people who are bored with posts in black and white only.  Images attract traffic to your posts. 

• Engaging.  Pose questions in your posts to engage the reader.  Are they in agreement with what you are saying?  In a certain situation,  what will you have done if you were the one. 

• Interesting.  A good post is an interesting read.  Once you grip a persons interest is when you have them magnetised.  Interest can be created in many ways of which some have been captured above. 

• Grammatical accuracy.  Ensure about your grammar.  Avoid spelling mistakes and typos.  Nobody enjoys to read a post full of errors. 

• Titles and subtitles.  These may help one to lengthen their posts.  Each subtitle should answer a question.

Why A Lengthy Post? 

Most people produce posts in an earning site.  Often we expect to earn highly without minding where the site gets the money or crypto paid to its members.  Once we learn the secrets then we can possibly assist the company to earn money.  

• Lengthy posts provide the site with enough space to put ads.  Ads normally raise the finances to run the company and also pay to its members.  A short post only gives space for one ad. The advertisement is normally put at the top of the post just below the title.  Yet a lengthy post will have ads in many places.  People clicking on the posts earned revenue to the site. You may not be clicking on the ads yourself but some of your readers do.  Then give them as much room for advertisements as possible.  The lengthy the post the better. 
• Sites are also optimized in Search Engines.  Normally short posts do not attract much traffic thus optimization becomes difficult.  However since long posts have more information,  they feature more.  Bubblews had this problem as their posts were very short.  Optimization brings in more traffic and thus makes a site popular. 
• Lengthy posts have more information.  People seeking information know where to get them and normally it is in lengthy posts.
