Dante Alighieri is the most well known Italian poet, and owns a prominent place among writers of all the world.
Dante is notoriously famous for his classic masterpiece, La Divina Commedia, in which the poet writes about his famous voyage in the sovrannatural reigns of Hell and Paradise.
Dante's writings are full of obscure passages, spritual and occult references, and prophecies whose meanings remained unclear for many centuries.
One of the most cryptic prophecies in Dante's book is the one in the first chapter of the book of Hell, and that prophecy is about a mysterious dog that will completely change our world.
Let's read what Dante's prophecy says:
Until the Greyhound
Comes, who shall make her perish in her pain.
He shall not feed on either earth or pelf,
But upon wisdom, and on love and virtue;
'Twixt Feltro and Feltro shall his nation be
(Dante Alighieri's Hell - Book One, line 100)
In this prophecy Dante talks about an unspecified dog who will fight the wolf of avarice and establish a new reign of wisdom and love.
Dante also tells us about some of the qualities that this dog will have.
First remarkable thing is the original Italian word used to indicate our dog, that in the original text is veltro. Veltro is a kind of dog known in the medioeval times for its nobility and elegance, just like the Shiba.
But the most amazing line in this prophecy is the one that says: He shall not feed on either earth or pelf. This line means that our dog will disdain the usual coins made with metals and he will avoid them and fight against them because they are the fruit of avarice.
Avarice being the established financial system of banks and funds, against which the new dog will bring the love and wisdom of a coin not made of metal.
So, in his amazing poetic vision, we can without doubt state that Dante forecasts a new era of coins without metal (pelf) which will bring to humanity a prosperous period of love and wisdom.
Dante's book is full of strange and hardly to understand prophecies. He forecasts things to come that could not express clearly due to the cultural and technological limits of his time. There was no way that he could figure our what a cryptovalue would be, even if he was having a supernatural vision of it.
The reference in this case, anyway, is amazingly clear, and just give us confirmation on how acute Dante' insights were, and how founded the Dogecoin phenomenon is.
