By staying on the top of the embankment it is possible to have a good point of view of the plain countryside (the river is on the right) ...

... here the river is on the left.

It is possible to get off on the terrace that is some meters below the top of the embankment and some meters over the river channel. During the floods this area is submerged by waters (the river is on the right). 

It is nearly impossible to get off more to the water level cause of the dense vegetation.

it would be a bit dangerous to try as many trees and bushes have sharp thorns ...

... and it would be impossible to notice the escarpment that leads directly into the river.

Very high trees of poplars emerge from the depths of the river forest.

There also are a lot of interesting things to see from the top of the embankment either on the riverside or in the countryside.
