Some weeks ago I had to do a survey near the small town of Camposanto and I took the opportunity to walk a little for a mix od countryside, river and urban hiking.
First of all, I left my car and climbed the embankment of the River Panaro.

The bikeway passes on the top of the embankment.

A little explanation on what can be seen in the town of Camposanto and about the bikeway.

The river is on the right ...

... and the bikeway was built on the old track of the railway that connects the cities of Bologna and Verona.

By looking upstream it is possible to see the bridge of the present railroad track ...

... and by looking downstream we have a wide perception of the river Panaro in its plain stretch.

Looking towards Bologna. They are around 50 km of bikeways built on an old railroad track. I was not able to see if there are some bends. It seems decisively straight.

I came back on my steps ad I wanted to walk along the embankment and then climb down to the centre of the town.
