Rutstroemia bolaris

The young mushroom is cup-shaped, later disc-shaped, dark brown to almost black in color; it has a short handle, usually 0.3 - 0.6 cm long, bowl diameter does not exceed 1.5 cm.
Occurs only on lying spruce cones in mountain coniferous forests; after snowing, very common.
Inedible mushroom.
