The smoothie that I propose to you today is as exotic as Zanzibar.
It is a pineapple smoothie, with no added refined sugars, creamy, fresh and healthy, perfect as a sorbet after meals or as a fresh snack.
Have you ever been to Zanzibar?
It is a fabulous island. I took a vacation there on my own many years ago.
In fact I was not alone, I had my Canon with me, which I have never given up.
She accompanied me on the excursion to the disappearing island, a strip of sand that appears only a few hours a day, where I ate a delicious lunch cooked by the "beach boys".
At dawn I went fishing with her in a wooden canoe.
We visited Stone Town, with its narrow streets and alleys.
We ended up in an open-air gym, a house with only walls, without a roof where the local boys they trained.
If I remember correctly, I made about forty films in black and white and color during that vacation.
I have photographed many people, because they are the people I love to photograph during my travels.
I remember the octopus fisherman, the old man on a bicycle attached to the dock with his hat, the silhouette of the child in the sea, the children swinging with a branch, the ball game, the little girl with pigtails.
I always carried them with me, they were a precious gift.
I would like to return one day to give everyone a portrait of him and repay me for what they gave me.
Advice
If you prefer it sweeter you can add honey or a vegan version of dates before blending.
ingredients
2 bananas
200 gr of Pineapple
7/8 cubes of frozen almond milk
Wash and cut the fruit into large pieces and put it in the freezer with the almond milk that you have poured into an ice cube mold for at least 4 hours. When they are frozen, put them in your blender and blend them until you get a creamy consistency like ice cream. Unleash your imagination for decoration, you can use fresh fruit, dried fruit, muesli or dried fruit.
It won't be like being in Zanzibar, but you can imagine being there.
