Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.
This week we are featuring the Common Fire monster Goblin Shaman.
Goblins are everywhere in the Burning Lands, but they are all larger and stronger than the Goblins of Anumün. The Goblin Shaman of the Smoldering Forest are especially skilled in slowing and weakening their enemies with enchantments. Many of them can hypnotize with a simple gaze from their blood-red eyes.

Element: FIRE
Attack: MAGIC at level 3
Abilities: WEAKEN//SLOW at level 5
This is a card I rarely ever use as it has no attack capabilities until level 3. I decided to rent a Gold Foil card for this challenge as it was quite cheap for just 1 day.
Battle Info
This is a 99 mana level battle with all splinters allowed except Life and Death.
I have 6 cards in this battle against 6!
Dragon-Fire vs Water
Ruleset = Equal Opportunity - All monsters gain the Opportunity Ability.
Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health!
Battle Line Up
Summoner: Brighton Bloom
This great summoner grants all friendly monsters the flying ability which makes them more difficult to hit. This can really help win battles.
First Place: Cerberus
I would usually have my best tank Goblin Mech up front but due to the Equal Opportunity ruleset I can use him in any position so I have Cerburus up front with his Healing Ability to take on the first few rounds with Goblin Mech providing support from Second place.
This is a really great melee attack monster with a brilliant ability for a really low mana level card.
Second Place: Goblin Mech
As I already explained this tank is in second place to back up Cerburus.
This is a really great melee attack monster with amazingly high stats and is one of my favourite cards.
Third Place: Goblin Shaman
The featured monster is here for cannon fodder!!
Fourth Place: Lava Launcher
This is a brilliant monster I use in most of my Fire battles to provide ranged support from the rear.
We will see how well it performs.
Fifth Place: Prismatic Energy
This trippy monster will provide magic support from the rear.
Sixth Place: Sandworm
At the rear we have the mighty Sandworm. I have this monster at the back in many of my battles. With its impressive stats it is a monster not too be messed with.
The Sandworm will use his Sneak attack to pick of the enemies from the rear!
Battle Walkthrough
As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at the enemy.
Round 1 begins with my Prismatic Energy monster slaughtering the enemies Enchanted Pixie!
After taking a hit from Lava Launcher the enemies Ice Pixie is destroyed by Goblin Mech!
Sadly Medusa has just killed Goblin Shaman but I am pretty confident.
Cerburus takes 3 hits but survives the round!! Luckily this monster has the Healing Ability so it can restore some health at the start of the next round.
Round 2 kicks off with Goblin Mech obliterating Medusa but Cerburus is then wiped out after taking 2 hits from the enemy. Not too worry as the mighty Goblin Mech takes the lead as this round ends.
Round 3 sees no casualties until the end when Sandworm swallows up Elvin Mystic!
In this the final round we watch as my team decimates the enemy!
Venari Wavesmith is destroyed after taking hits from Prismatic Energy + Lava Launcher.
The battle is won with Goblin Mech + Sandworm obliterating Elven Defender!!
This was a great battle I really enjoyed 😉 I won't be using Goblin Shaman again though! The battle was won regardless of this monster. I will say it can be a good option to boost your CP (collection power) if the price is right as you get much more for Alpha Gold cards.
