The Highest Border Crossing in the World

By Zagham Travel | My Travel log | 7 Sep 2020

Khunjerab Pass is the highest border crossing in the world between Pakistan and China. The border is situated at a height of 4.733m or 15,528ft above the sea level. Khunjerab Pass lies on one of the highest points of Karakorum Mountains. The weather is very extreme in this place and is always covered with snow and is closed most of the year because of heavy snowfall.

Although the weather is very harsh still a large number of people come to see this place. Daily hundreds of people visit this place but it's highly advisable to bring warm clothes and your stay must be limited here. At Khunjerab Pass another main attraction is National Bank Pakistan's highest ATM in the world. Visitors must visit that place and many try to check whether ATM is working or not.

Another major attraction to this place is Yak grassing around you. In the chines area, you can see a large herd of yaks.
