In the heart of picturesque Znojmo, on the banks of the majestic Dyje, there is a treasure for lovers of history and technology. The Museum of Motoring, hidden in the building of a former power station, opens the door to a fascinating world of old machines, where time has slowed down and blaring horns and the smell of petrol revive memories of the past.
The museum, founded in 2008 with the passion and care of Mr. Jan Drozd, boasts an extensive collection of almost 5,000 exhibits. Dozens of historic cars, motorcycles, bicycles, tractors, steam engines and other mechanical gems are spread over an area of 1,500 m². Visitors can thus embark on a journey through time and follow the development of motoring from its early beginnings to the middle of the 20th century

Machines from the past:
Among the stars of the museum are 40 pre-war cars that captivate with their elegant design and precise craftsmanship. Here you will find gems such as Praga Alfa, Tatra 57, Aero 50 Minor and many other legendary brands. Motorcycle lovers will love the varied collection of machines from Jawa, ČZ, Harley-Davidson and others, which symbolize freedom and adventure on two wheels.
)

Not only cars and motorbikes:
But the museum's exposition is far from just about means of transport. Visitors can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of old petrol pumps, see a fascinating collection of hevers (the largest in the Czech Republic!), admire cast-iron signposts from the 1930s and marvel at the massive steam engines that once powered mills and factories.
A trip to the past with humor and playfulness:
The Museum of Motorism in Znojmo is distinguished from ordinary museums by its playfully humorous approach. Humorously installed mannequins in period clothing enliven the spaces and illustrate the bustle of the streets of that time. Children will fall in love with the "animated" models of children and taxi drivers and will happily immerse themselves in games and toys from the period.
