Today I'd love to share with you the album artwork I created for my song 'On Me'.

I used Gimp to create this double exposure effect, using a photo of myself, a photo of a gray/blue forest, and a photo of the stars and cosmos.

Here's the original photo I started with:

Desaturate and bring down the color to black to white. Remove the background!

Add in the new background/overlay. Orient everything and erase all borders!
(This took a lot of time, about as much as it did the find the right images to use for the background!)

Add in the background for the beanie.

Add the text!

The technique takes a little time to get down, but from my experience the real results come down to the photos being used. I have some attempts at double exposures that I feel aren't there yet..which could be due to the original photo I was using.

This is by far my favorite double exposure yet, so now the personal challenge is on for making one even better!
