Foodbook #472 chicken pie with surprise

Good morning my friends, a special super recipe for all of you today with chicken and more all inside a delicious pie , let’s start

1 pack of traditional village sheet for pies
1 boiled and peeled chicken
1 cup grated feta
250gr. Chopped Mushrooms
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 red pepper into cubes
2 diced green peppers
1/3 cup white wine
a little grated nutmeg
2 beaten eggs
1 cup chopped parsley
Salt Pepper
½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tablespoons soup melted butter
1 egg yolk mixed with 2 tablespoons of water

the chicken, cut it into cubes and set aside.

In a pan, heat a little of the olive oil and sauté the onion, garlic and peppers until soft. Add the mushrooms and sauté for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and quench with the wine. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the chicken and allow the mixture to cool.

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180oC and mix the melted butter with the rest of the olive oil. Butter a very narrow pan. Spread the half leaves one by one with the mixture you prepared and with the help of a brush.

Add the eggs, feta cheese and parsley to the taste and mix well. Spread the filling evenly over the leaves and cover the pie with the remaining leaves, which you also spread with the melted butter and olive oil.

Using a sharp knife, carve the pie into holes. Spread the yolk mixture on the surface of the pie and sprinkle with the sesame.

Bake the pie in the oven for an hour or until it turns reddish. The first half hour you have it covered with foil so that it does not get colored quickly. Serve the pie hot by cutting into holes.

Enjoy this my friends and I wait for your comments

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
