Good morning my friends, we are at the final countdown of 2020 and we trying cook some delicious desserts to celebrate the new year , let’s see today’s recipe

Ingredients

- 2 cups of self-raising flour
- Or a cup of sugar
- 1 and ½ sachet of dry yeast or 40 gr. fresh
- Or a cup of milk (lukewarm)
- Or a cup of margarine (melted)
- 3 eggs (at room temperature)
- 1-2 vanillas
- Vegetable cream (30% fat)

For the syrup:

- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups of water
- Juice of half a lemon
- 2-3 vanillas

Preparation

Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Beat the melted butter, sugar and a couple of spoons of flour for a while.

Add the milk and yeast, continuing to beat…

Add the eggs and then the rest of the flour…

It becomes a soft dough that sticks.

Butter a cake pan. We empty the dough and with a spoon we spread it evenly…

Cover the form for half an hour - maybe a little longer - until it swells.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, at 185o C degrees.

Prepare the syrup by putting the sugar with the water to boil for 5 minutes (we start counting from the time it starts to boil) and before we withdraw we add the lemon juice and the vanilla.

Once daddy is cooked, we pierce him with a stick in various places. Syrup (both lukewarm) slowly…

Leave it for a long time to cool completely and water the syrup and then carefully cut it in half.

Fill it with plenty of whipped cream or whipped cream, tight.

For a more impressive appearance, dissolve a spoonful of jam of your choice in two or three spoons of hot water, pour over it and serve.

And as we said, we do not forget the ice cream ..!
I hope you enjoy this and I am coming with more recipes like this at next days

Have a nice day my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
