Heavy Hitters ruleset in Splinterlands - Difficult to take advantage of in low leagues

Yes, folks we are in a new week for Splinterlands. The new league system is in place for quite a while. And for me it is at least "controversial". What are your experiences so far? -For me personally it was not so nice as somehow even in Silver 3 league I do not attend the "previous standard"-modifier which equals 10x. That is leaving me wondering why. When I first saw the staking requirements table it was like I even would be eligible in Silver 2 league for 10x-standard modifier.

However better times will come ... for sure. Let us look at one of my battles!

This week's battle features the "Heavy Hitters" ruleset which reads:

"All units gain the Knock Out ability.

Be sure to include a unit with Stun in your lineup to trigger the Knock Out ability."

So as it says you probably need a "Stun" ability unit to take advantage of this ruleset.

I did quite some research on finding a battle that has a) Heavy Hitters ruleset and b) which I won.

Let us look at this battle:

Obviously neither me nor my opponent took any advantage of the ruleset. Instead we probably both had the idea of attacking the opponent's backline.

However my opponent's approach seemed more effective as he was able to take down my front row Xenith Monk as well as severely damaging my Arkemis.

Still I somehow managed to take his Mycelic Slipspawn off the board.

In the end it did not make any difference, because my major problem was that I could not deal any substantial damage to his Mycelic Infantry due to his combination with Disintegrator which lowered my melee attack.

So finally this ended up as one of these battles

... which I did not win.

But did the "Heavy Hitters" ruleset make any difference? -I think it did not!

Because even after some retrospective looking at my available units I barely found any unit which had the "Stun" ability.
However some of my units will gain this ability after upgrading.

So all in all in lower leagues "Heavy Hitters" is just one of these 'nice to know'-rulesets which might gain bigger importance in higher leagues, though.
