Ferocity ruleset in Splinterlands - Probably no implications for your lineup

We are in for a new and fresh round of sharing-a-battle in the Splinterverse.

A real lot is currently going on in and around Splinterlands. I am unfortunate to say that a lot of the changes coming are not doing me any good. I was a real proponent of SPS staking in the beginning.
However with the (my personal opinion) unreasonably high demands for mid-leagues, I personally got really nerfed. Although I did not sell SPS from the initial year-long airdrop and staked the SPS earned from playing, as well, I will get set back down to Silver 3 league once the staking requirements go live. :(

But let's pretend there is no disaster coming in the future and focus on the ruleset given to us this week!

'Ferocity' is the ruleset of the week and it simply reads the following: "All units have the Fury ability."
and we are given the following advice: "Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury."

My first reaction? ...hmmm does it play any role at all? -It sounds like a very exotic and rarely triggering ruleset to me.

But let's have a look at one of my battles with 'Ferocity' ruleset:

So in this battle it is me against the Llama and Kron. Units with Taunt ability? -None on neither side. Conclusion regarding the relevance of the ruleset for this battle: No obvious relevance detected ;)

In the first round both 0-mana units left the board and my team managed to take another unit off the board.

So in the end it was basically Kron vs. my team which included Quora and the Goblin Psych (Healer). Therefore it is obvious that Kron would not have an easy victory by any means, but I have seen the opponent's combo turn the tide more than once.

Still as you see above my team which was strengthened by Obsidian's magic attack bonus was rather efficient and won the match.

Looking at my personal battle log I found 3-4 battles including 'Ferocity' ruleset. In how many of them did 'Ferocity' make any difference? Answer is "none". You might argue that it had some effect by forcing players to not choose units with Taunt ability, ... but I think that is going too stretch it way too far.

So in the end my conclusion is? -This ruleset has probably no implication on your choice of units. ;(
