Things are starting to get nasty in the Middle East with Iran and USA at loggerheads again. No one knows exactly what lies ahead but in the current circumstances what is likely to happen and what should people do.
My personal views are:
(1) The much touted recession is liable to be triggered. It was likely to start soon anyhow.
(2) Money in regular assets such as stocks, shares, bank accounts etc will move in part to what are considered safe haven assets. These include gold and silver but now includes bitcoin and to a lesser extent other cryptocurrencies.
(3) The rich are the ones who will always hedge their bets and they will move a portion of their money/assets to these considered safe havens.
(4) Oil will of course increase in price so if you think things could escalate further (which no one only the big guys involved know) maybe you should stock up at least some oil.
(5) Personally I would hold at least a decent amount of money at home just in case things got really bad and banks limited the amount of withdrawals as has already partially happened in countries like India.
So we can make sone preparations of our own. I am not looking at a doomsday scenario here as I am an optimist and hope things will calm down and anyway as a Christian I also believe God is the only one who knows the future. You can of course have your own opinion and might not even believe in god.
