Hello everybody, I wish you all a great new week! It's full August but the Moon Stones Collection project didn't go on holiday. Even better, we have lot of news to share and new things to work on!
Community and social media
Some weeks ago we launched the Discord server, and the community grew very fast, now counting 300 members. Since we offer exclusive giveaways and news, here is the link if you want to join and have a chat with the devs and other Mooner owners:

Meanwhile, we created a Medium account where we'll share official announcements, and an Instagram account to reach a wider audience and show some nice art from the collection.
Sales
Last week we announced a new item for all our supporters: the Whitelist Stickers. If you're an experienced NFT collector I'm sure you alread know what they are, otherwise here's a simple explanation: a Whitelist item is an NFT that grants your account to be whitelisted for future sales of a collection. This means you don't have to worry about competition when a sale is launched, because you have a reserved share of the listed NFTs. Of course, not all the sales are reserved to whitelisted accounts, so if you don't feel like buying the sticker you can still have access to some of the listed NFTs.
The Whitelist Sticker drop was a huge success: we stared with 100 stickers at 1$ each, and they went sold-out in a matter of seconds. I couldn't believe my eyes! That's why we planned some other drops until we reach about 500 stickers in total. So again, keep an eye on the discord or on other social media accounts!
Snakey
A big help for the growth of the project came from the SammySnake community, so we decided to celebrate this partnership creating a whole generation of customized Mooners for its members; a list of more than 80 requests was compiled, and we had to select 50 characters from this list. Here are some examples of the crazy looking characters they came up with:
Future plans
The project scope has dramatically changed in the last weeks: it went from a collection of 1000 characters with a "simple" fighting game planned, to a huge ecosystem where you'll be able to use your characters and equipment in multiple ways. The 1000 unique Mooners will still be the main characters and the center of the Moon Stones universe, but we plan to release other generic characters with an higher mint number, as well as generic equipment, that you can use to enter the game as a free-to-play, explore the world and maybe decide to purchase some of the high-end equipment or some Mooners.
The first of these generic promo characters will be revealed shortly, and will be distributed through giveaways, minigames and contests.
Anyway, all of these great enhancements (and many other more) will be announced in the whitepaper we'll release in September; until then, we will only sell the stickers and distribute the promo stuff; after you all know what the future we planned looks like, we'll proceed with selling all the remaining Generations (we're talking of about 800 characters!) even though it won't probably be a direct sale like the ones of the past generations, but a pack drop which seems a bit more fair since everybody will have the chance of finding a Rare or Legendary Mooner (and the thrill to open the pack, which is always fun!)
All of this while we keep on working on the game rules, and experimenting with the integration of WAX wallets and the development of smart contracts on the WAX blockchain.
As you can see, this will be a busy summer for us, but we really do hope to provide funny and entertaining content for you all in the next months!
