XRP AND DOGE LESSONS LEARNT
It was February 2017 and I had read a lot about XRP and how it was expected to increase significantly in value. I decided to take the plunge and buy some. I paid just $0.01
At the time I had no intention of selling it until it had reached $2 something that seemed quite unlikely at the time. By May 2017 I had seem the value rise significantly and was very tempted to sell the lot. But, I decided to wait. Then in December 2017 it had risen higher than I had ever expected it was now worth $2.28. I held a significant amount and could have sold the lot and been very happy. But, I read online and on social media that it might dven reach $5 or even $10. The pure greed got the best of me and I decided to hold. The thought of making it big really big was too big and too tempting for me. As it would have been life changing for me if it did reach those amounts. Then the crash of 2018 saw the value of all my assets including XRP drop like a stone. I decided to hold and only recently sold all my XRP.
DOGECOIN
Over the years I had amounted a lot of dogecoin from faucets and other sites that gave away free doge. I would sometimes buy it for $0.001 and sell it on ebay for $0.01 I made a nice tidy profit. I saw dogecoin rise and fall over the years so when it started rising. So when I saw it rise to $0.01 I was ready to cashout the lot. As I was not going to make the same mistake for a second time. I waited with patience until it rose to 3p and sold the lot. I made about £3000 so was very happy with myself. I fully expected it to drop to historic lows but, it kept going up and up. I decided not to even calculate how much I could have actually made had I waited just a bit longer.
Three mistakes
The first big opportunity I had was when PTC sites offered whole btc as a payment option I took fiet instead. At the time I was making about €5 a week. At the time BTC was not even worth $1. I could have got about 25 + btc a month for free. The second time was not selling XRP sooner and the third was selling my doge too soon. Hopefully I will get it right next time.
