Sometimes we don't arrive at the places on time or maybe we do, we arrive at the right time, you never know. But many times we travel with exact and controlled times to be able to see everything, quickly that daylight is ending...

That happens, plans are not always successful and we arrived at our last stage of the day somewhat late to a nice palace, in Aranjuez. And I walked through it outside, through its gardens with the last light of the day, a sweet, soft and bucolic light that gave everything around a storybook effect.

And while for photos it might not be light enough for more spectacular images, I enjoyed that other softer effect that made everything look special, even a magical palace. Maybe it's good to do things differently sometime.

Because the few clouds that reflect the last weak rays of the sun acquired a hue very similar to that of the towers, columns and statues. Everything was impregnated with a lovely pastel filter, but without filters.

And in almost twilight, the trees turned dark, the garden no longer seemed the same, against the light everything faded, everything changed and made me think that the time to take photos was over, better come back another day, during the day.

But time was running out, "tempus fugit" may have said those cultured inhabitants who lived there in their day, in their century, but they should be calm because both during the day, all illuminated or almost without light, the entire palace and gardens continue existing with equal splendor, such that it needs nothing else, not even sunlight to make it shine, it stands out on its own.

Because it is a beautiful place, and even arriving late, it is worth it, it is worth it to be able to feel that moment of serenity, now without people or noise, a serene and solitary walk in a magical setting at sunset.
